Hiya.
It was a dark and stormy night...
NAH. The past week has been quite hectic for me. If you don't know my ultra-gamer-addict defination of "hectic", it means actually getting out of my computer seat to actually go out and meet with acutal friends.
First, PLANET EARTH at night. MMMmmm so beautiful I want to put it up on my desktop as wall paper.
Ok, back to the point. I realised that someone asked me a very good question at the beginning of the month and I'm still trying to think of a good answer up till now.
"What the hell are you still doing in NS?!"
I don't really know!
In case you were wondering why I'm even considering not being in NS is the fact that I was born in Canada and that in theory I can just skip Singapore and its food and its culture and its rules and regulations and the worst that Singapore has to throw at me, National Service... and just go to Canada and live my Canadian ways and never ever step back into Singapore. Alas, this is my destiny that I'm wasn't hardworking enough, not intelligent enough, not wise enough to understand and comprehend my situation early enough to make preparations. Not that I have anything against Singapore but as soon as I became a NSF... You could say I grew up very fast and thought alot. (refer to )Thus, I have led my depressed and utterly sad life from then till now and THAT was probably the reason, so I concieved, is why I was and still am ranting and being rather unhappy about the whole shabang. Of course, not to mention that I am ultra-gamer-addict and is rather anti-social.
*end rant*
Thats my life story. Now here's the story on sunday:
I met up with my wee group of (4)friends centred around a guy named Dennis Tng MR. Everyone says he looks like me and can be my stunt double anyday.
Doesn't he just look like me?
You see, Dennis Tng was a Naval Diver Trainee just like me and we met when he got Out Of Course. Somehow or another, I got to know that his girlfriend, Hannah(who looks quite angmo), was born in Canada and is studying in Canada right now!! so we decided (the three) to meet. Along the way, Bellomonster somehow also knew who Hannah was and decided to join the party @ starbucks Far East. We were there the whole sunday afternoon and just had a good conversation. I guess I really need someone to talk to just so that I don't forget chim words like antidisestablishmentarianism. Too bad Bellomonster was really very sleepy from all that Diver training and was pretty much knocked out as seen in these photos:
Trying to stay awake...
Still not successful
All I can say is that I had a wonderful time. I learnt much more than I knew about my homeland and one word of advice from Dennis, which is not to feed any sugar to Hannah. Or she'll go hyper. But from what I've seen, she's hyper most of the time anyways. She's been a great help for me even if she doesn't know it. Simply a fabulously interesting person. OH look, I have a link to her blog on the left hand side. BTW, she's going back to Canada this Sat... I hope I can get to freeload from her when I get to Canada too.
Actually, two other guys came along for the meeting.
One is Mr. See KokHeng(on the left), No.1 chowkeng kia if i've ever seen one. He's now a clerk in some camp taking a massive load of unrecorded leave. That is a good thing. The other guy is his friend, whatshisname. The amazing thing was, I was told that Bellomonster, Dennis, Hannah and Mr. See was going to turn up but I was uninformed about whatshisname. He just turned up when we were in the middle of the conversation and suprised me. The worst thing was, he barely talked anything of my interest (which was mostly very scholaristic subjects) when he became very bored with the crowd, whipped out his "The Economist" and started to read. How rude. He looks evil too. He should be destroyed.
I guess that pretty sums up everything. I leave you with the final small pic (why are they so small? Too bad)
