Hiya.
It was a dark and stormy night...
NAH. The past week has been quite hectic for me. If you don't know my ultra-gamer-addict defination of "hectic", it means actually getting out of my computer seat to actually go out and meet with acutal friends.
First, PLANET EARTH at night. MMMmmm so beautiful I want to put it up on my desktop as wall paper.
Ok, back to the point. I realised that someone asked me a very good question at the beginning of the month and I'm still trying to think of a good answer up till now.
"What the hell are you still doing in NS?!"
I don't really know!
In case you were wondering why I'm even considering not being in NS is the fact that I was born in Canada and that in theory I can just skip Singapore and its food and its culture and its rules and regulations and the worst that Singapore has to throw at me, National Service... and just go to Canada and live my Canadian ways and never ever step back into Singapore. Alas, this is my destiny that I'm wasn't hardworking enough, not intelligent enough, not wise enough to understand and comprehend my situation early enough to make preparations. Not that I have anything against Singapore but as soon as I became a NSF... You could say I grew up very fast and thought alot. (refer to )Thus, I have led my depressed and utterly sad life from then till now and THAT was probably the reason, so I concieved, is why I was and still am ranting and being rather unhappy about the whole shabang. Of course, not to mention that I am ultra-gamer-addict and is rather anti-social.
*end rant*
Thats my life story. Now here's the story on sunday:
I met up with my wee group of (4)friends centred around a guy named Dennis Tng MR. Everyone says he looks like me and can be my stunt double anyday.
Doesn't he just look like me?
You see, Dennis Tng was a Naval Diver Trainee just like me and we met when he got Out Of Course. Somehow or another, I got to know that his girlfriend, Hannah(who looks quite angmo), was born in Canada and is studying in Canada right now!! so we decided (the three) to meet. Along the way, Bellomonster somehow also knew who Hannah was and decided to join the party @ starbucks Far East. We were there the whole sunday afternoon and just had a good conversation. I guess I really need someone to talk to just so that I don't forget chim words like antidisestablishmentarianism. Too bad Bellomonster was really very sleepy from all that Diver training and was pretty much knocked out as seen in these photos:
Trying to stay awake...
Still not successful
All I can say is that I had a wonderful time. I learnt much more than I knew about my homeland and one word of advice from Dennis, which is not to feed any sugar to Hannah. Or she'll go hyper. But from what I've seen, she's hyper most of the time anyways. She's been a great help for me even if she doesn't know it. Simply a fabulously interesting person. OH look, I have a link to her blog on the left hand side. BTW, she's going back to Canada this Sat... I hope I can get to freeload from her when I get to Canada too.
Actually, two other guys came along for the meeting.
One is Mr. See KokHeng(on the left), No.1 chowkeng kia if i've ever seen one. He's now a clerk in some camp taking a massive load of unrecorded leave. That is a good thing. The other guy is his friend, whatshisname. The amazing thing was, I was told that Bellomonster, Dennis, Hannah and Mr. See was going to turn up but I was uninformed about whatshisname. He just turned up when we were in the middle of the conversation and suprised me. The worst thing was, he barely talked anything of my interest (which was mostly very scholaristic subjects) when he became very bored with the crowd, whipped out his "The Economist" and started to read. How rude. He looks evil too. He should be destroyed.
I guess that pretty sums up everything. I leave you with the final small pic (why are they so small? Too bad)

The Last Week
Its the last week for me in INTO, the place where i'm training to be a seaman onboard a ship. Heck, tomorrow, I might even find out that I'd live out the rest of my NS life on board a ship. "Highly Recommended" says my instructor of me. I wonder if its the result of the hours of ass kissing that I had to do.
I really wonder why I'm always in a bad mood. Something, somewhere in my life I'm not getting my due's worth because of myself. Almost every month, someone would tell me that I look depressed, tired or just plain sad. Do I?
By popular demand, an irritating game
This made me shrudder. Christianity against games? Yeah sure. You can actually make spells and control people with your mind if you worked hard and believed enough. Reading Harry Potter and listening to fairy tales will corrupt your mind.
Anyways, I was just kidding about the ass-kissing part. Its more like... Ah, forget it.

Ok, this week, its " Link Mania"!!! I don't really have anything to update as of yet but I'll do so soon enough. Sorry if I can't put anything nicer online but this is the best I can do I guess. Just surf and be happy.
Lord of the Rings, in Black and White as it should be in the 1960s. Really interesting stuff done by a film history professor somewhere in some university.

Here's a couple of logs of the bot "Eliza". "Eliza" is supposed to be a program that talks to you, pretending to be a psychologist. its script of possible responses is super tiny, so it doesn't fool anyone. But this guy replaced eliza's tiny, boring script with a massive dumb blonde script that has like 3,800 responses on all sorts of topics, but mostly sex. jenny18 is very horny and she loves talking to horny guys. and everyone knows the best place to talk to horny guys is on dalnet irc sex channels. Interesting how much thought is actually put into these kind of conversations

This is a site where genetics are mixed with household appliances. Just look.

Comic made of real pictures. Updated everyday.

Hulk's Blog. Green and huge.

Have you seen clothes with provocative letterings or words on them? Yeah, this is one of them too. Except you have to touch. Underwear included for the tactile deprived.

Damn good "Gangster" Photography.

I can't remember! Sometimes I wish I can remember everything all at once and yet forget just afew items. I'll just have to update this post as the week goes by...
Aslan, without the broken link:
.
I'd really want to know such a character... Furry, warm, patient, wise.... mmmm... supposed to be someone I know...
Guard duty this week. Just when I thought that duty in NDU was bad, the duties over at the new place is almost 1000 times worse. Less sleep, less compensation and less fun to do.
Singapore Idol. Rox. I really find that the guy who sang at +-1 db. The fourth judge has a problem with his eyes cuz he's always looking at an angle at the contestants. Next up.. the banana guy who's song is probably from
http://webpages.charter.net/redemption/banana/ or
http://www.transbuddha.com/osaka/osakaphone.html
I love that song!
The Village. Am I the only one who likes it? Somehow the plot is not what it seems and that everyone was expecting a horror show... which was not what it was. I guess my view of it is tainted by the fact that the ending was given away to me before i watched the show.
I've got a new camera!! Nikon CoolPix 3700. Hope to take better pictures now.
Tide of things to do came crashing down. I have tried to occupy myself with too many projects and almost all have failed. I'm really sorry to all those people who I've let down by asking them out but never really making those meetings into reality.
3 days of lazing around. I want more of times like these. Makes me want to do more... which is probably causing lots of organisational trouble for me now. I cannot manage my time.
Thank you vic. Post more now that your blog is online again.
Got no links nor pictures. Words and words are all i have, to take your mind away...
I want a new phone. Really. My current phone hangs alot. Maybe its because I've dropped it many times... just maybe.
